Logging truck driver killed in wreck on Texas 62 in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Texas — Texas DPS troopers are investigating a fatal wreck that claimed the life of a truck driver and closed part of Texas Highway 62 in Orange County.
The wreck, which involved multiple vehicles including the logging truck, happened at about 9:15 a.m. along southbound Texas 62 about a mile north of FM2802 according to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Raymond Marsh, 42, of Nacogdoches, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck by Orange County Precinct Two Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins the release said.
The wreck forced the closure of all lanes of the highway according to DPS. It has since reopened.
Marsh's logging truck was traveling south on Texas 62 when a 2003 Ford passenger car driven by a 46-year-old Orange woman turned into his path the release said.
The logging truck struck the rear of the Ford and left the road and struck several trees before coming to rest.
The woman was not injured in the wreck.

At approximately 9:15a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a multiple vehicle crash on SH 62 in Orange County.
The crash occurred approximately one mile North of FM 2802 and involved a commercial motor vehicle.
The preliminary DPS crash investigation indicates that a commercial motor vehicle hauling timber was traveling southbound on SH 62.
A 2003 Ford passenger vehicle was traveling on Wade Road approaching SH 62. The driver of the Ford failed to yield the right of way and turned into the path of the log truck. The log truck struck the rear portion of the Ford and continued off the road.
The log truck struck several trees before coming to rest in the woods.
The driver of the log truck, 42-year-old Raymond Marsh of Nacogdoches, was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins at the scene.
