In the 90's Ontario and east allowed permits of up to 24000kg(53000lbs) on 60" spread and more on 72" spreads.
We could load to 23000 on the drives in B.C. on a 60" and run through to the Maritimes.
If on a 54" or less we could only permit to 22000kg (48500lbs) for Sk and Mb.
When I bought my 96 I ordered it with the 60" spread on 40-145 rears and larger bags.
I was leased to a O/O outfit out of Surrey and it gave me an advantage within the company because I could save on permits and pilots over the other O/O 's in the company and other companies. In 96 and 97 I spent a lot of time east of Mb.

How is it even possible for a partnership or company to have enough money to build a truck stop...
