Apples to apples, not apples to oranges. You’re going to need a trailer with your own authority. Typically those 65% companies pay another 7-10% for your trailer, so now you’re in the 70’s. Only you can decide if that’s with it. Remember percentages are misleading though. 100% of DAT or Truckstop brokered freight, you’re only getting 50-90% of the billed charges, and you’ll never know what they are. Add in a 2-5% quick pay/factor fee and you give up even more.
So let’s just sat a nice broker gives you freight at 80%, with a 4% quick pay. Liability insurance runs you 5% of your revenue, so now you’re at 71% of billed revenue, but you’re like “I’m getting my 100%”.
