You have a container frame. A container box frame containing either a 20 foot or 40, 45, 48, 53 and maybe some domestic 57's possibly goes onto that wheeled frame.
Inside the box frame is a tanker vessal. Capable of holding god knows how much product. When I have hauled them to Seagrams I was a total tanker to them with alcohol in tanker off ships. Either 20 or 40 foot. Or even two 20's at times. Which was outrageous in weight. (ABout 125000 pounds)
IF you got a spread axle chassis those were very special and required EXTREME GENTLE treatment on corners
we are told by Seagrams to stick them here. Drop and go bye bye.
And that as far as my involvement with that kind of container tanker ever got. two thoughts remain. If it's from Scotland it's REALLY expensive fine product. and the shifting is always a treat when you have a old U model with a sloppy trans gate that requires you to slam your fist against the dash on the front for third or 7th or bash your knucles against the back wall for top gear or 4th low. Low gear cut your hands against the beat up drivers seat that cannot move sideways to clear it. Reverse just jams your ashtray.
So shifting that old tired POS Port East Tractor on that little bit of load to Seagrams in those bad old days does not support the cultured professional trucker image in one's mind. Not after you conside the inch of dirt and red rust that is the floor of your tractor. With a back window that's gone and a exhaust that has no meaning under the 5th wheel.Last edited: Feb 19, 2020

I cannot roar enough about how top heavy those ####### things are (Applied profanity with malice...)
Im not here to cause trouble or scare anyone, they can be sweethearts if you are ... just chilling along less than traffic speed. It can be a good drive. -
Slow and steady wins the race in curves/exits -
We seem to have more of them here in Arkansas.
Maybe some of the people have gotten stressed more often. We only did about 61 or so in our car due to the bad plates in the austin north cabot area to reduce the pounding on the vehicle. Its going into the shop soon in Searcy for a complete and absolute inspection..
