Update to my update of my update. My DM kept wondering why I kept saying I couldn't make it to the delivery by Monday...turns out, they put the wrong date on the info they sent me. My load is scheduled for today at 18:00 not Fri. Good thing I am a driver that gets a little testy and says something or else he wouldn't have made inquiries.

Hey man, you almost had me wanting to switch over until I found out they don't have PC. Still, the fact that Maverick has PC really makes no difference when I'm only using 35 of my 70 in an 8 day period. Friday to Friday, I'll have gone 1700 miles over 8 days counting the 250 from home to Laurinburg. Why do I even bother using PC?

I have a 30 hour window to deliver my current 400 mile load. I sent a message saying that if I get a preplan I'll get there at the earliest and get rolling. It's actually not in my interest to do any more miles this week because I'm already guaranteed to get minimum pay this week. At the moment I'll end up being paid over a dollar a mile. Yet the response I got was that its slow and I'll get a load based on when I get unloaded. Which tells me to just show up at the last hour and wait for the weekend load.

I really shouldn't complain though. Getting paid to sit. It's almost like being in the military all over again except now I get paid to choose which truck stop I want to loiter at.

I just saw a Blue Beacon with so many trucks in line that it'll be 3 hours yet I jumped right in. Why not? I'm not going anywhere anyway. Haha.

    dwells40 and Winnyf1 Thank this.

Got loaded in Wichita Falls in a reasonable time (at least reasonable for them) but it still pushed me past my 14, so I ended up spending the night on their property. I'll be thru the house for a 34+ and at the delivery Sunday night, ready for a bright and early Monday morning unload.

It appears that Wichita Falls is a Combined Transport customer for the most part, all though there were a fair number of Maverick trailers being preloaded there as well.

To give some perspective on the quality of driver Wylie is accustom to...they send out these message periodically congratulating drivers for accident free miles...and they have a bunch every time with having achieved 100,000...ooooooh...you made it almost a year without hitting anything, congrats driver!!!! Please...1 million miles sure, half a million o.k., but congrats on 100k? C'mon, what kind of halfwhit seat warming steering wheel holders does this place hire

It seems that 90% of the time I go to WF I do a live load. Those preloads are mainly for the dedicated drivers. About 6 months ago I got a preload out of there going to Las Vegas and I only got it because I got unloaded after1500 in Dallas and couldn't get there early enough to load one myself. I've been mostly stuck in the NE the past couple months though. I'd happily go to Texas and do a few live loads right now.

Change of plans again. Dispatch messaged me, another Wylie that was suppose to del in the morning broke down. They asked if I could take his appointment time (with my load). I said I could on one condition, don't make me sit down there waiting until Monday to see which direction to head empty. 5 min later, they said head to Laurinburg when empty. So, I'll get my 34 up there, but will have 3000 miles(and a driver assist live load) in 5.5 days...and it's Feb.

Not holding my breath, just hate to be a total 'Richard' in order to get things done the way they should be done.
