So this past Saturday morning I was in Phoenix at the yard and was picking up a load, and I saw a dedicated trailer there, pretty neat looking, was wondering if any drivers had any info on it
They clearly put a lot of thought into the paint scheme and design. Perhaps it is a household moving van? Maybe it is a prop, and just for show. ?
It was a nice trailer setup, i was just wondering for what customer they are for and what it was they hauled
Only dedicated flat account I know of at Swift in AZ is hauling rebar. That company is hard to wrap your head around sometimes though, they're all about radical changes. Always something new and aggressive going on over there with Moyes making the decisions.
I don't think that it's rebar, i've seen some loaded flats there with rebar on them, i would think that's it's for hauling coils maybe? or some type of specialty item. i've personally never done a flatbed load so i wouldn't know what sort of freight goes on a curtain side :/
I think you're probably right about that not being used for rebar. Covered wagons are often used for coils but with that axle set up I doubt that's what they're hauling. No spread, drop deck, and tandems slammed to the rear like that would be an awfully stupid set up for something as heavy and centered as a coil.
