    anyone have, or useing?

i was hoping to get away from the cord entirely with my newly purchased printer. i thought bluetooth would be the newest tech. but apparently that isn't the case. without spending some money from some store some place.

can't even find usb bluetooth dongles to purchase. so far.

if you comp doesnt have BT built in, its just as much of a pita to plug in the dongle. Also its less reliable then the cord.

I just got an HP it has Bluetooth but it won't work with apple so I have to run it thru my laptop it also has a battery so I don't need to plug it in every time I use it. Very small 8"x11"x4" only two ink carte rages. It is color. Very simple to use I really like it.

We tried the bluetooth and couldn't get to work on a steady basis but that was a few years back.
Now I have the hp wireless eprint in the truck and at home. Which is nice for sending papers back and forth or forwarding my permits right to the truck and forwarding my paysheets to the truck and at home. Though I do have to turn a hotspot on in the truck but just use the hotspot off my I-phone.
It's actually an older cheaper printer, scanner and copier but had both for couple years now. I've heard canon has the same now.

my printer that's slowly dieing, i think was the first wifi to be sold. it's kind of a PITA to use the wireless method. haveing to set the software up every time i wanted to use it. then trying to go back to the cord. and if there was no internet. i was SOL. hopeing the new printer at least works easier in that aspect and not be such a PITA to go back and forth.

another problem is the cord. when it quits. you hope it just needs a new cord and that the printer itself didn't just quit. then having to find someplace with a fairly inexpensive cable. to replace old one.

i have a couple of bluetooth dongles. i just found. had them a few years now and never used em. was defenitly a PITA back in the day of windows xp. windows 7 seems to have drivers but i have no software anymore. one of the bluetooth's is REALLY small and wouldn't even matter in the laptop. it can stay plugged in.

with all this new technology these days. be nice to just hit print and not have to crawl in back and plug in cord. also be one less cord making a mess in the truck. also be nice if i could actually scan also. without the cord.

using the printer apps on phone and tablet also make it nice. but again. no internet, no print.
this new printer has the hp eprint thing. gonna have to give that hp app a whirl now.
