chain pay?

Any of you guys get chain pay and if so how much?

Chain pay meaning pay for chaining up and driving on instead of pulling off and shutting down.

 

I've never gotten it. With any company.

 

Did you know that there are drivers that believe that since they represent their company, the company should pay them to shower?

 

I wish you were joking. But I know better.

Chain pay? Come on just get it done already. If you decide to sit there and the chain law is up for 2 days I suppose you want to be paid for being unproductive as well. Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, with the new generation thinking they deserve to be paid simply for existing. Never ceases to amaze.

 

If that's what it takes, it might not be an all bad thing.

 

Heck I had to get out of bed and get dressed shouldn't I get paid for that.

 

Print off shower receipt. Sell it to some guy like me that parks at flying j but very rarely fuels there. Collect maybe $5. Continue to stink it up.

I usually get them for free. Hehehehehe

 

I just added 176 miles to my trip, because I figured I'd chain / unchain no less than 4, and maybe even 10 times, as that last storm went right over my direct route, and I'd been right under its full fury for 2 days.

SO, 3 hours driving, $90 fuel seemed like a bargain to me.

 

Hell I got back into driving after being out for 10 yrs. Went to swift cause it was easier I never even thought they should pay me to chain. But now I drive for myself that ship has sailed. Now if I could only find someone to pay for my chains. Thanks to CalTrans I ruin at least one every trip over Donner and I run that 4 times a week back and forth.
