Is it ok to float gears in training or do they want you to double clutch when you first start out I'm going to stevens OTR training and just wanted to know what they expect.

I would say double clutch thats how i was trained. Just keep floating the gears to yourself until u get out on the road solo..

Double clutch on the road test. Ask your trainer, some want you to double clutch, some will let you float if you can show you know to do it without tearing it up. My trainer taught me to float as that's what he did. Was a different company though.

Double clutch in training and on road test. After that it's up to you.

I agree. Double clutch until you get out on your own. My trainer at Stevens would not graduate me UNTIL I could float. Within the first few days I had it down.
