I have 06 carrier xtc. Starting cycle mode , then unit works like continuous. Panel shows cycle but it is working continuously in any weather. Pre trip however shows Pass.

What does it show the battery voltage is? Thermo king won’t shut off if voltage is low.

Well, battery is like 3 weeks old and alternator works fine. Checked voltage - no problems. Starter works properly too.
One more thing, if I set 0F for example ,it keeps running slightly lower, like -2F and stays there.
Pre trip - pass. Status -Ok.

If the set point is low enough it will run continuous.

I work for Swift. We have mostly Thermo King units and some Carrier ones too.
At certain set temperatures, it automatically stays in continous mode and will not cycle or let you change to cycle mode. 34° is one of these odd set points thay does it. -10 will cycle if you want it to. Unsure of all the set points that won't operate in cycle mode. Also, unsure if this is a setting done by our company or if all the ThermoKing and Carrier reefers are set like this.

my 210 will cycle at -10....I’ll flip continuous once a day for an hour or so though in this colder weather to keep the battery charged

edit: just noticed he said carrier and not tk, which I’m pretty sure the last rental I had last year also cycled at the same temp
