If I read it right you have 30 minutes till you get your 11 back...you have 9:30 in the sleeper so far?

5:30 in the sleeper will never gain you any hours. The only way to get hours back is by taking a 10 hour break or using the 8/2 break.

If you have taken a 2 hour off duty or sleeper period at some point since you started your 14, you could take an 8 hour sleeper berth break and gain the hours back that you worked prior to the end of your 2 hr break.

    Night Ranger Thanks this.

Your numbers don't make sense. If you have been parked for 9.5 hours your 8 hour clock would show 8 hours. In this case if you sit another 30 minutes you get your 11 back and have 13:07 to do it in. Your hours would show you only have 8 because that would be your shortest clock before you need a 30 minute break. If you run past midnight your 13:07 would be a full 14 hour window as you pick up hours if you have any to pick up on the next day.

Actually, you will have to get the other 9:30 before you get your 11 back, assuming you are in sleeper or off duty now. If you are on duty now, you have 1:24 hrs before you have to take a 10 hour break.

What you do is unplug your Elogs and do whatever the hell you want to do.

Some people read Orwell's 1984 and thought it was a good idea. It scared me and now we live it.
