Need help.

All I've been seing on the web is bad and good things. Some one tell me what's a good company to start out with. I am headed to tdi the 28 of April. Thanks in advance.

 

What do you want to do? Flatbed, reefer, dry van, tanker? Do you never want to see home...or get home often? Formulate a plan through research based on what is important to you.

 

Money and a good company, also my wife is fine with me staying gone.

 

We don't need another guy living out of a truck for months at a time. How much experience do you have, any endorsements? Give us some information about what you'd like to do in the trucking business and I'm sure someone here can and probably will help you out!

 

You can forget about finding both at one specific company.I would advise you to go regional or dedicated.You'll be home a lot more and you can pretty much guess what your checks will be every week.Alot more running.OTR you'll be doing a lot of sitting waiting for loads.

 

I am starting school in 2 weeks, and I am leaning towards flatbeads, and I heard its hard work and good money. Kids are grown, and wife likes to travel, so I want to make money, so just looking for a good company and consedier my option. I drove local years ago as a ltl driver, and really enjoyed it.

 

I believe WTI has regional flatbed hauls. I'm sure there's others, but WTI is a good company.
You'll need both general OTR and recent flatbed experience to get on with them, though.

 

I don't have either, I will soon. Any mor suggestion?

 

Get your foot in the door with some OTR company. Choice is yours, don't get on any with major lengthy commitments, or you will regret it. Be prepared to leave these companies, they're like poison to a driving career.

Other than that, keep your head up, eyes focused and don't hit my truck when you're backing in next to me.
