Hey guys and gals , truckers and such, new and old help me out if you all can ...Been out of the OTR for about 9 years...Had 1 and 1/2 years in reefer...Couple other jobs and now truckin local with roll-off / concrete trucks for the last year with minimal tractor/trailer...O.K. HERE IT COMES...What company can I go with ? WHO...Will hire me with limited recent experience.....YOU KNOW......US EXPRESS,COVENANT,RYDER,JB HUNT, etc...etc....I am not looking for free ride I can still drive..Many of these companies want recent verifiable OTR experience...What I am hoping is that shaffer, crete, crst, schneider will give me a call and give me a chance...ANYONE with any ideas please respond...Prefer not to go with you know the pond scum that is lower than whale...opps..can't say that but you know what I mean...Thanks in advance for all your help...Tom
I forgot to let you all know important stuff....My record is clear. Along with my DAC, and background, and clean license.....THANKS AGAIN...
Well first things first.... """SCRATCH OFF J.B. HUNT""" I would not recommend this to Oussama Ben Laden.. Schni may hire you but retrain you to get up to date experience... Its mostly a Insurance thing is why they want current.... A self insured company probably would be the best bet that and a farm ran company.... Have you spoke to any companies as of yet? if so what did they say?
HOLY MOLY...Have I talked to some companies...us express.knight.covenant.ryder.may trucking.jb hunt.covenant again.willis shaw express. transam. ew wylie.yarbrough.(local).shoreline.(local)...paschall truck lines. O.K. Waiting to hear from....shaffer.knight.srt.crst.heartland.schneider. AND so far CR England has called me but I don't think they have verified my experience yet...Does that help anyone a little better..Need to find a local that would give me some recent experience. ooorrrr pay 6000.00 to go back to school...can't afford that I already have my CDL and it's clean...
Try Averitt. They are hard to get on with, but they will hire experience. You will have to go thru the orientation, but thats a cake walk.
