I have my class B CDL in GA. I cant find a company to train me.I would my class A.Ive been to prison,out 4.hoping to find a driver who will be willing to train me,Ill driving for them cut rate for however long.Ive always wontet to drive trucks.
I would see if there are any driving colleges in the area (not company sponsored schools, the independent ones). They cost a lot but you can check to see if voc. rehab or another rehabilitation program would pay for it. The school I went to worked hand-in-hand with vocational rehabilitation and job service both to find funding, but I'm on the other end of the country from you. Good luck!
Talk with some of the OTR companies and tell your story. Depending on what your crime was, they may hire you. The worst they can do is say no. Good luck!
