First of all I would like to introduce myself ..I just finished my cdl training and I finished my 3rdparty training ...so I actively have a class b with tanker and hazmat endorsements ..i have a question before I got my cdl I have 3 moving traffic violations Two in 2012 and One in 2013. My question is in Louisiana are there any company's that take chances with my driving record such as a probation Or a cut in pay. .

You got class B and not your A? Kinda limiting your choices there dont ya think?

Your best bet is to just try and apply to different locations. Check out different companies, make some calls see what pops up. I had an at fault injury accident where I left the roadway a year ago on the 15th of May, and my application has been approved by several companies. You just have to run the gauntlet and see what happens.

Well, either you're brought into the standard trainee phase, at the standard trainee rate, or not. There are many multiples of criteria used for dealing with past moving violations. And at some companies, this criteria can change week to week or candidate to candidate. So the best answer any of us can give is to put plenty of lines in the water baited with what you have to bring to the table. Eventually somebody will bite.

Did you go to an actual CDL school and test on big trucks with a trailer? If so it doesnt make sense that they would give you a class B over an A if you tested on a big truck with a trailer

Never ever offer to work in this industry for less money then someone else makes. I personally will come down there an slap you silly if you do.

A class A license is much more valuable then a B. Get an A license. With a B license you should look for work with a concrete company or trash company. They pay well. The tickets will depend on what insurance the companies have. It usually takes 3 years for one to fall away.

I definitely would have made sure you were hireable before spending money on a CDL.

Those tickets might limit who you can work for.
