105 HAS REOPENED AFTER 10 HOUR CLOSURE-CLOSED AGAIN TOMORROW

 

Sweet lord what a disaster. I think there’s a typo though, a 500 ton crane can’t be real. Anyways all this just because a pin broke.

 

Ouch indeed, all those typos and awkward grammar used, makes my brain hurt.

 

Wow! That is going to be EXPENSIVE!!!!

 

There's tire cranes that are even bigger. Also track cranes over 2,000 tons. And a gantry in China good for 22,000 tons.

But the picture in the article is identical to our 115 here at Fesco.

220 ton crane car body. Next model up is 440 ton. The 18000 is a 750 ton

If I recall correctly this is a 450 metric ton Crane. They were setting 30k pound air handlers at 200’ foot radius. Limited access on the south side of Chicago.

 

500 ton cranes are very real and much bigger then that. Check or Mammoet or Sarens Crane and what the big ones look like.
