Talking to a driver who went thru phase 2 flatbed class with me in Phoenix, he told me that another driver there had been told by his DM that the incremental pay increases had been either frozen or done away with.

Anyone Swift drivers heard anything? My DM is off till Monday, but I'll ask her then. She's pretty straight with me, so I think she'll give me a honest answer, if she can.

Thought I'd ask here, in the meantime.

I was just looking at my pay stubs and noticed I got my pay raise last week. So I'm guessing there is no pay freeze. Either that or I'm special:biggrin_25514:

If you're special does that mean you get the short truck???:biggrin_25523:

    Just kidding . . . couldn't resist!

That there sounds like one of those trucker stories regarding freezing pay.

j-money, Swift isn't the greatest, but as far as starter companies go, I'd say they are one of the better ones. I only went with Swift as it was the only way I could get back to flat bedding without having to lay out the money to go through a school again, or a refresher course.

As for the pay thing, that's why I asked, as opposed to making it a statement. Rumors are always floating around. Just wanted to see if any one had heard anything definite.

I can't see the reality of a pay freeze...that is all I hear on the satellite radio is the advertising of many companies RAISING their pay rates...most are 4-6 cpm with a sign on bonus...so Swift will have to follow suit to maintain their school population and rookie programs.
