Publix HASNT been involved in unloading for about 10 years now--since they allowed whatever thieving lumper service they hired---USED to be one of the best places to go...
Anyway--in case you may be interested--PUBLIX ALLOWS any driver to unload their own--w/Power Equipment---ALL you need is ANY kind of card saying you are certified--doesn't have to be OSHA or anything special--just ANYTHING that says you are certified--and in almost all cases the actual receivers (actual Publix employees) are great....Just go in yank your stuff off-with a 2 at a time riding jack--go find tthe receiver--tell him/her your done----typically sign your bills right on dock and away you go
Then charge shipper WHATEVER the lumpers--were going to charge....like MOST other grocery whse--its the LUMPER SERVICE thats the problem NOT the employees.....

Born and raised in Lakeland. Several of my classmates have retired millionaires. Part of the pay package was company stock.

Not just truck drivers retire millionaires, an entry level warehouse selector can retire a millionaire given enough time based on their profit sharing stock program. Truck Drivers can get their much faster although. Solid company but the 10 year wait is just too long. If you want to start off in an up and coming area such as North Carolina after they build their distribution center you'd be able to go up the ladder much quicker
