I went to a CDL school and I passed my skills and pre trip. I failed my road test. The school is now not answering my calls or emails. Can I schedule road test at dmv myself. I’m in Illinois

Go to the school in person and ask what's going on.

If you have a tractor-trailer to bring to the test, then you should be able to schedule a re-test on your own. If, however, you need to use the school's truck, you're gonna need to schedule through them. Given that you've already tested once, you're in the ELDT registry already so that means the school has certified that your training is complete and you're free to test without them if you choose.
