I just started with swift...I'm supposed to update my medical card through some app...what app do I use and how do I do it? Thanx!
Call Human Resources, Compliants and Legal Permits etc. They will be able to assist you with that question. MAKE SURE YOUR DOT Medical never is allowed to expire. It will have State downgrade you to a basic car license Which will cause you to be charged with operating out of class vehicle among other things.
Don't follow any of x1Heavy's advice relating to Swift. You need to talk to your driver leader. He/she needs to set up your initial user name and password. Frank
It can expire, then you have a year to get it renewed, In that year your license is downgraded and all your records are messed up, you better not drive any vehicle other than a car or cycle and when you get stopped you may have some explaining to do, I did that, was about 11 months before I did the med test, then you have to walk with the long form into the dmv and have it all reinstated, was able to get a 2 year card again, it was well worth getting the health problems that was limiting me fixed and be well again. That is Colorado, all states are different.
I let my med card expired and didn't have one for 3 yrs. Went back and did the d.o.t. physical and got my license reinstated. This was in california
I have never heard of updating your medical card through an app. You get the physical, long form and card. Then you return Swift's copy to them (if you didn't get the physical at a terminal) and deliver the required document to the DMV in your home state along with the self-certify form. In MN it is just the card, not the long form.
i don't have a mad card, left the trucking field in 2004, i keep my CDL, easy the state ask, are you going to drive local i said yep so no med card needed, bam, even tho i worked in a factory ever sense
I have no idea about any app for medical card, I would not let have my cdl being risked over some app I would do stuff in person, Just remember if some how the info gets lost your responsible, even the people at the DPS recommend come in person because some companies will claim to fax it over the new medical card and if it get lost somehow you now have no proof it went there. When you go to a DPS they give me a paper saying the service been done.
