I have 1 year 8 months driving all hauling crude oil was considering swift since they are the only ones that will hire me and I don't have to go out with a trainer however I have never done otr and can't find a descent local gig due to no otr experience found a job at hobby lobby ware house making 3k a month am thinking that's prbly all I'm gonna make otr seeing how swift governs trucks out at 62 mph plus the cameras I'm not a fan of even though I have had them in my trucks hauling oil but was the avg ou for swift drivers I know it depends on things but just looking for a base idea of what to expect to help make my decision thanks

You should ask if they can take your 1.8 year experience in consideration to increase your start pay, instead of the no experience start pay.

Do any company's do that, BTW?

If you think swift is the only company that will hire you you aren't looking hard enough.

According to an article in the trucker news. All trucks, will be governed. This bill is scheduled to pass this month. I hope that helps you with decision on whom you decide to roll. ☺

Okay. It was years ago, but I drove for swift. My first truck was a 98 fld freightshaker. Best truck I ever drove. Any who, wasn't a bad gig. Are you going OTR? What was the offer pay wise?
