    Saw this bad boy just south of chicago on 57 at a sears whse. Never seen one on the road...seems like its seen a few winters

    That's defiantly a way older Swift Pup. Here is what I think happened from my research. I think and please someone who has been there and done that confirm or deny this, but I think those pups were around in the days before 53' trailers were legal. I remember reading that once 53' trailers became legal that was the end of the 28' trailer for truck load OTR operation. I think Swift used to pull doubles cross country and then when 53' became legal that was the end of that. I swear it's something along those lines.

    Sure was. Theres a swift terminal across the street wonder why they dont keep it there. Or scrap it lol

    That trailer is 1980's not current at all and defiantly a left over they never got rid of.
