So I filled out an app for them and called them a couple days later. The guy i talked to on the phone said that they couldn't hire me because i didn't have at least 4mo OTR, and i haven't been to school. I told him that i have a Class A CDL and haul milk in a class B truck. He said sorry, no can do........ Any thoughts?
hauling flatbed loads cross country and hauling milk on a straight truck local are 2 very different worlds your gonna find it pretty difficult to find something otr van or flat... not saying its impossible but it will be difficult
plus thats nealry a quarter of the load say that load cost the shipper 2000 your going to get almost 500
i am in school right now in oklahoma i am 21 i graduate with my cdl this friday monday ill be in class at tmc. i had a recruiter come to central tech and gave his show...which was very nice and i was hooked. but the main thing that impressed me about tmc is im only 21 and they require you to be 23, but my recruiter pulled strings and got me in hell he even remembered my name after the weekend i dont know how tmc is as a company yet but there first act towards me was great and i have heard great things about tmc so i am looking forward to working for tmc
im at 22% of 86% of the load at my company and i can be home every night if id like and i still take home 800-1000 a week so whats ur point....percentages mean nothing its what the load pays that matters
I am currently in the Drive Train school graduation is this friday. I am leaning towards TMC and i was curious about orientation will they feed me or will that come outta my pocket? The recruiter i talked to seemed to be distracted and was tryin to get off the phone in a hurry. I hope the rest of the company doesnt operate like that.
If everything goes good ill be there the 19th of november. Lookin forward to gettin my own betterbuilt truck.
