Has anyone had to register a VDO Roadlog and train themselves or others on the devices? I am currently setting up the account for our system and watching videos and studying the manual. Any advice for me?

I am on a VDO aobrd now since November of last year but have had a few hardware problems.
This week I will be converting over to an ELD.
I have the new hardware here now.
As far as advice they are a pretty simple set up to use and learn.
If you run in to any problems feel free to contact me and I will try to help.

THANK YOU! I have to understand it well enough to train others and it turns out someone is taking one of them out next week. (EEEK!) I'll be contacting you if I have any issues. :)

I just set up the Eld from aobrd today and will be on the road with it Thursday.
Doesn’t seem a whole lot different from the aobrd but does look to be a lot more user friendly.

So I believe I have all 4 guys set up in the system. Now I need to go to each vehicle and program them with the fleet key. Not quite sure how to do so but the I am getting ready to read how that works.

    Very simple turn it on.
    Let it do it’s thing.
Put in your fleet key it will ask you if you want to change the mileage offset?
Then it walks you thru the screens.
    Pretty easy...

It was. Just got done with it. Was not sure how long it would take. 3 vehicles and approximately 1.5 hours. Nice to have that out of the way. Next, my first driver training is Friday.

I really appreciate the support. It was nice knowing if things weren't going as expected, there was someone already here with an understanding.

    No problem.
Don’t forget you will need the previous 7 day logs on paper with you until you get to the 8th day of logs recorded on the new ELD.
