When I drove for Frito Lay down here in Binghamton we back hauled for Wegmans, their drivers were always in and out of our driver room they all were pretty happy and had nothing bad to say ever...

My guess is the guys that came down to drag the back hauls back up to Rochester were prolly senior men who didn't want to go real far ?? dunno

I have a really good freind of mine who is some kind of manager down here in the Johnson City store he says overall Wegmans is w/o a doubt the best outfit he has ever worked for..

OMG . . . your mention of Binghamton just brought back memories of my CDL classroom instructor! During our logbook lessons, we were always stopping at Binghamton for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie! I think he spent a lot of time out that way!:biggrin_2559:

Hijack over . . . you can return to your normal discussion!

Thanks everyone. I talked to a driver last night [diff company] who said he heard drivers make 70K up to 125K for senior drivers. Only thing is you work 6 days one day off and most of the runs are done evenings and overnight~this is local here in Rochester.

I have heard the same thing about Wegmans too great place to work

If you're serious, move down to Wilks-Barre or Schukill Haven I think Wegman's has a hub somewhere in the mountains of I-81. Also the Hamburg PA site hires all the time.

(I mean, get the job lined up first of course)

They have a large terminal just south of Hazelton on I 81. There is a huge Walmart DC just accross the street if that helps at all. Thought about applying myself but don't like running all night.

The PA wharehouse is non union. whole different ball game down there. The two aren't even allowed to socialize. Seperate trailers and everything, don't interact at all.
