Alright so here is my back story with this truck. Last July this truck was starting to stumble, it was almost as it was going to stall, but then would quickly catch its self. I was unable to get flash codes because the previous owner took the check engine bulb out of the gauge cluster, and the diag button was missing. So I replaced the bulb in the cluster and found the cut wiring for the diag button. I didnt get around to that until November of 2019. Anyways the truck has brand new IPR, cam sensor. When the ECM was throwing code 626, unexpected reset, I started tracing down ecm wires to the relay on the firewall. I ran a brand new wire from the batteries up to the relay and everything was absolutely perfect until the end of last week. It started all over again. no other codes besides the 626. I ran another wire to that relay thinking that was bad, it wasnt, got a new relay for it, wasnt that either, and then I ran a brand new ground wire to that relay, and thats not the problem either. Does anyone have any other experences with these that I should check out? honestly I am leaning towards an ECM at this point, but at the same time I am not because a new power wire fixed it for 8 months. I did take off the ecm connectors at the ecm, and all of the pins were clean, no green crusties. I am out of ideas. Please HELP!! Thanks.

626 is for loss of battery supply. To check the powers at the ecm, remove the ecm connector. If you ground pin 25, this will trigger the ECM power relay to supply battery power to pins 41, 22 and 21. Connect a headlight to each one of these pins one by one and wiggle with wiring. If the light goes dim, flickers then you have bad wire somewhere nearby. If the relays clicks off and on, then the power to the relay is bad or the wire between ecm pin 25 and relay pin 86 is bad somewhere. Don't forget bad grounds can also cause this. ECM pins 1, 2, 23 and 41 are grounds. There is normally an ecm harness connector near the starter/firewall area, so make sure you check there too. If the engine runs, you can try to wiggle the harness from batteries to ecm to try find your bad spot too. Good luck!
