I have a 2000 w9 that I've replaced the tranny, ecm speed sensor with harness and speedometer and its still not working and now the cruise won't work. Any ideas what it could be? To add i didn't just throw parts, the ecm was put in at time of overhaul and then the tranny went so I replaced that and put a new sensor in at that time, only part I've thrower at it is the speedometer

There are sensors on the clutch and brake pedals , check those

The 1 on the clutch return is new, how would those affect the speedometer from working? It worked for 48 miles of a 320 mile trip, but only at speeds above 55/60.

I would unplug the harness then plug it back into the ecm & do the same at the sensor. If that doesn't work. I would trace the line & make sure there is no brake.(voltage is constant) I also would clean my ground wires.

    BradLaw20 Thanks this.

Sounds like the speed sensor isn’t in far enough. Should screw in bottom out, and back it off just a bit. Are you sure you don’t have 2 sensors on the trans? If so 2nd one on top controls the cruise.
