700 pounds over on the trailer, non-sliding tandem, 79,200 gross. Too late to rework the load at this point. I’ve already made the decision I will run with it, I was just curious what my odds of getting busted are. My route is I 44 through Missouri and then 70 to Indianapolis, 69 and 24 to Toledo, and then 75 to Detroit. 401 to Toronto. Is what it is. I seldom ever am heavy, but this time I am.

If I do get caught, how much should I expect a fine to be in a case like this?

Is the trailer sealed? Is it a bag load?
If the answers are no and yes, throw a few bags towards the front.
Other types of freight might be manhandled too.

Get the atlas and follow alternate yellow lines if you're that worried.

This particular commodity cannot be reworked without an overhead crane. It is what it is.

I am more curious than I am worried. I am typically not overweight, so I really don’t give it much thought. I was just wondering how likely you are to get popped when you’re under gross but over on an axle group.

Was also curious what the financial impact is in this context. It’s on me. I made the choice. I’m a big boy. Just curious.

Expect a ticket if going through a coop. I got a ticket at the Dalton Ga scale last year. GVW 77,500 ticketed for 2,000 over on trailer. I think it was about $100.

I am seldom dead nuts on my axles. Both my trailers are fixed. I have never even been talked to about 700 lbs. I dont even wonder till a thousand. I'm sure there is an ####### out there some where but I haven't met him. It's real common for me to be 500 over
