Almost got ran down by a cruiser on autopilot way out on Lake Michigan 40 years ago while drifting and swimming off the boat

 

I'm not saying that the autopilot guy shouldn't have noticed, but just like we have to adjust because there are morons on the road not paying attention, the police should know this fact better than truck drivers and should not literally park in a travel lane without triangles and flares 100+ feet behind his vehicle.

Construction boys do it all the time to. Ran up on some at night time they was doing crack sealing. Had a dinky little strobe light .. Thats why u pay attention and keep ur nose out of the phone, so u can see that type of stuff

People would rather surf the internet and text than actually drive their cars. Already most young people don't even want a car like we all used to absolutely require one once we turned 16. They all look exactly the same anyway. No style in vehicle ownership anymore.

 

A dozen auto pilot trucks circling the truck stop looking for a parking spot. Drivers all say screw it and crawl into the sleeper to take a nap.

Or put it on auto pilot while they go in to take a shower. No more blocking the fuel lane.

 

Dude, OMFG, one night in the MIDDLE OF BFE NOWHERE on a dark road I see this tiny little yellow light. It was flashing on and off at such a slow rate it really didn't catch my eye. It was not until my headlights were able to illuminate WTF was going on that I panicked. That dinky little yellow slow strobe light was some midnight road repair with about 15 guys walking around with dirty dingy "high vis" vests that I didn't see until I was on top of them. Nobody had any lights I don't know WTF those people were doing but had I not been paying attention I would have been a bowling ball through bowling pins.
