Do you have to log a minimum number of hours/miles to maintain a CDL Class A? Will you be at risk of being down graded if you are not driving for some period of time (while keeping physical current)?

I had mine for 12 years and was not using it. Just had to renew it when I 'renewed my regular driver I.d.
You earned it, its your now. Some states don't mandate a dot unless you leave the state.
2 quickest ways to lose it. Dui and running fast enough in a semi to be considered reckless. -
Too bad a lot of companies look at you as "stale" if you havn't driven in a while, whatever "a while" means!

Downgraded. Oh my. Imagine being relegated down to the point of having to haul people’s rug rats back and forth to school in an oversized, Oscar Meyer banana boat! The horror!!!!!

I almost got downgraded after passing tanker or hazmat endorsement test. Guy at DMV accidentally listed it as a class B. I quickly rushed back to get it fixed
