Learned something fun the other day. If you'r ever dispatched out of Pittsburg/Bedford/Breeezewood towards Shippensburg, don't follow Central's directions. they send you off the 76 to the 522 and then across on Highway 30. It's a legal truck route through there, but it's also a 9% grade for 3.5 miles, and a windy road through a town with narrow streets. You're better off taking the 76 to the 11 to the 81, unless you like playing dodge a wall in town.

But see I was told follow the route or else. We always asked to go off route and had luck about 50% of the time. That was one reason we went l/o.
And, seriously, if I followed their rule about everytime you hit anything that is not the road, I would spend more time on the side of the road and calling safety. Oops I hit a mouse, and another, and another. Darn there went a turtle. Shucks that bird flew into me. Let's see, mice, the tortoise and the hare, puxatawney phil, several birds including two wild turkeys and a hawk. I figure unless it does more damage than I have to pay for, it will not be said. One of the birds turned a rock chip into a crack, but whose to say it wouldn't have happened at some point anyway. Nothing has done any real damage, so why am I going to call them every two miles? -

My company sends us that way to save on tolls. So I am very familiar with that route. Nice road on a bike, but a little curvy in a truck. -
For any of you who deliver to versicold in anaheim, all sunday deliveries are on the cooler side, whether cooler or frozen. I had to chase someone to get unloaded. So not cool
