Thanks for the suggestions. If I get my Hazmat again, I may apply to HO Bouchard. A friend of mine used to work for Richard Carrier and he suggested to avoid them. The construction companies aren't hiring right now as I don't see any advertising. I got a call on Friday from PAF about a few openings that they have in Hampden. One is a class A and the other is a Class B. I have also started applying to the Class B jobs. I also decided to stay away from the mega carriers and focus on Maine based or companies that haul in Maine. Thanks again. Back to searching for me.

I know the safety and recruiting director for PAF in Scarborough, very good guy. Might be worth checking out.

He is going to get back to me once he contacts Hampden about my paper application. I sent him a message and said I could fill out the online too if needed. I am sending in the paperwork for my Hazmat and my doubles endorsement as they are required for the Class A position.

Update on my progress, Today I accepted a part time/as needed driving position with A. Duie Pyle for a dedicated account. It covers the state of Maine and New Hampshire delivering building materials with a tractor and a curtain side flat bed. I will be filling in for vacations and helping out during peak times. My orientation is next Monday. I will be in a hotel for three days in Southern Maine and then will start learning the routes. The account is based from a distributor that is about a half an hour from my house.

    Greetings from Maine!
I'm a current local driver with HARTT based out of the fairly new terminal in Auburn (near Exit #75 on I-95). I can tell you we have a TON of work and we need good drivers.

Our recruiter is De Echols and he's a straight shooter! Just be honest with him, and I'm sure he'll do what he can to answer your questions and help you. He can be reached through the company website at:
    www.hartt-trans.com/terminal/auburn-maine-terminal/

In short, HARTT is the best company I've driven for and encourage good drivers to get in touch with De.
