Hey guys! Recently been having issues with the blower motor on our 08 M2. When I take the green connection off the fuse block, it’s charred and burnt up, however cleaning the connection and putting it back seems to get the blower motor working again for a period of time. It can’t be a bad motor as we just replaced it
With a new unit. Any ideas on how to stop it from losing connection? Also why would the connection be blackened?

Has been a problem with M2 since its inception. Wire was not large enough to handle blower motor electrical draw. You can't buy new connector for PDM (fuse box) Go to junk yard and cut one off and splice. Something else to fix before it happens is the connector about 12 inches from blower motor. Follow blue and black wires and pull apart connector, if you can (probably already melted together) Cut off connector and butt splice the 2 wires.

I recently replaced the blower motor and it came with a jumper wire that adapts the new connection for the new motor. When you say that I can’t buy the connector for the fuse block, do you mean. The physical fuse panel or the harness that plugs into that? I’m fairly sure that the harness end is the problem, but I’m confused as to why it stops working after a period of time. I can clean the connection and re connect it and it works every time. But then you’ll be driving and it’ll cut out. Very odd.

    The harness plug itself.
