Now I deliver loads to Campbell ny on a regular basis. Its 1hr 20 minutes each way. I enjoy the ride no problem. I have noticed 1 thing, by the time I get there I've got to drain my bladder and my rear end is starting to get sore from sitting too long. I've got to get out and stretch. My driving abilities are decent but how do you guys go 5, 6 or more hours without getting out and stretching?

    slow.rider and Trucker61016 Thank this.

You cant make any money if you cant keep the wheels moving and the door closed, so the answer is we are paid to do it.

Most new/er driver stop for every truck stop, rest stop and any other reason a truck can go but it wears off eventually you either make the money or do something else.

Your company needs that truck to be moving also to make money, if you need help figuring it out they will help you also.

How can some drivers stand to be local drivers? To some of us, that's more stressful.

Its like any job. You get used to it, you learn to drink a lot less, your bladder gets bigger and you learn to get out and walk around any chance.you get.

First 6 months is always rough as you get into a routine and learn how to handle stuff.

A big bottle of Sunny D.

Put the tip in out the bottom of your shorts (if you are even wearing pants)

Take it in with you to the receiver... put it up on the counter and go howdy ma'am do you have a bathroom I can use? While in a pose giving a cheeky smile leaning in.

They usually smile and point over there. Then look at their friend smiling.

Also our seats are probably more comfortable than yours. I got out a helluva alot more in an freightliner or international than I ever did while driving a kw.

International seats in particular suck pecker. Even the wheel is hard. Ghetto trucks.

Driving is the nice part of the job. Nothing better then going out west and no traffic and open roads. I enjoy driving thru Nebraska and wyoming or North Dakota and Montana.

You need to stop every 4-5 hrs for a few min and do a walk around on your equipment and wee-wee/stretch etc. Yes, there are times you don't want to pull off into a rest area, park, walk inside, walk back to truck, get back on the highway etc because you just lost 15 min. Now if you can stop on the off ramp and grab the gator aid bottle, you just saved yourself 13 min ! And how can your butt be sore after 1 hr driving ?

When I'm home, I'm sitting in my recliner for hours reading TTR, and only get up to eat, and hit the bathroom. So why is that any different from my job?
