Where are you in Mississippi?
Maybe some jobs as @Lunatic Fringe posted about.
One year experience, you're qualified for some high paying line haul/LTL jobs.
Need all the endorsements for those, but well worth getting them to make over $90K.
There's drivers on here making that and more doing those driving jobs.

Leave those B/S OTR companies on the side of the road!!!

If you want a promising career then seek out private carriers and LTL companies. Most of these places pay you for everything you do.

 

I charge daily “virus sanitizing” of the cab since virus started, they can’t deny me as employer must provide a safe working environment. Feels good to be the screwer instead of screwy

 

Wow, that’s rough... I personally would not have lasted 3 weeks. It’ll be very easy for you to find a much better job that pays a minimum of 1100 a week, as long as you didn’t hit anything while at PAM.

 

Don’t need to bash you for this but did you not demand a new truck?

That's rough, man. I got lucky and got on with a good outfit here in NC right out of school, stayed with them for 8 years until I went local. I've got a buddy that drives for PAM, he's dedicated and does a bit better now but those first few years I'd ask him once or twice a week why he stayed there. His truck was always in the shop and he got paid next to nothing.

Like some of these guys have said, LTL is definitely worth a look. I got on with a FedEx ground contractor about a month ago, I'm paid a salary of $1200 a week and work anywhere from 5-8 hours a night, 5 days a week. It's not as much as I made on the road, but I rarely work even 40 hours a week and I'm home every morning before sunrise, and if I want a little extra money there's always extra runs available.

Every contractor is going to be different, but it's easy work and there's definitely a decent living to be earned doing it. If you're not about living the OTR life (not knocking it fellas, it's just not for everyone) it's a good option.

 

I would be asking if you wanted fries with that or saying welcome to Walmart before I drove a truck to that, I did 43 or 47k my first year in 2007 in food service and I couldn’t even leave Mass
