The last couple of days have been full of driving. We are now sitting in Flint, Mi waiting to pick up a load after midnight.

I've used up almost all my 70 and so has my trainer. But, he still has enough to get us down to Mo for a shower and re-start. Trainer tells me he'll speak to the powers that be and tell them I'm ready to upgrade. But, I'm not counting on it until it happens.

There's been something wrong with every trailer we've pulled. But, there have been no problems getting repairs made. So, I assume it's the drivers not reporting the problems or not doing proper inspections.

At any rate, things are going well for me and I'm looking forward to getting into a truck of my own.

Well, I got my re-start yesterday and drove us to Durant, Ok early this morning. We're here about 18 too soon to deliver. But, by morning my trainer will have his re-start.

He says we'll likely be going back to Laredo next.

I don't know if he spoke to anyone about up grading me early. It's up to him and I feel I shouldn't be asking about it.

I went through driver solutions. School was three week and all you really learn is how to pass your driving test. Most students stop showing up once that's done. But, you should spend as much time as you can learning to back.

It took two weeks after school for me to get on a truck with a trainer and that's supposed to last four weeks. Then there's a few tests for the company and you go on the road.

I have been through all this twice now. I drove before, but stopped for a couple of years. Coming back they make you start over.

Well, we've been dispatched on our last load. Over 1000 miles deadhead down to LA for a refer load. I drove us down US 97 through Or this morning and trainer has taken over the second leg. We load tomorrow at 7am, so I'll have to drive some more to get us there. Next post will likely be from Az on the way home.

In Irving today. Passed my driving and backing tests and watched a program on PTI. There was some concern that I wouldn't have enough time behind the wheel to upgrade, but it looks like they'll bend the rules for me as I've driven befors. Doing lots of paperwork.
