    Hey fella's,

I know this is a long shot, but Im at the point of giving up on the reefer game and looking hard at buying a tanker to haul food grade products (so my ins doesnt try to murder me). I talked to a guy the other day for about 20 mins that hauls chocolate and sugar in a tank, he said he makes $15K+ a week easy. Does that sound right?? Can any of you guys help steer me in the right direction here as far as being somewhat new to the game of looking for 'liquid' customers? Ive hauled alot of crude oil and water in my past life, but that doesnt help in the food grade sector.

Depending on what part of West Texas you're in, there's a lot of milk to be hauled. @bentstrider83 runs FG tanker around those parts, maybe he'll chime in with some good information.

    MOBee and Marmon110P Thank this.

Will your insurance be less with a FG tanker? Will you get your own trailer or pull for somebody else?

I have no idea what my insurance will be, but I know that non haz will be WAYYY cheaper then hazmat. I am not looking to lease on to anybody, I have my own authority and I like being able to call my own shots 100%, so I would be buying my own trailer. I already have 4 reefers, a dry van and a stepdeck...so whats one more in the mix lol...
