So yesterday I smelled the smell of rotten eggs. I already heard and know that might be due to the battery going bad. I asked another driver to if he smelled it too, he said yes. You're battery is going bad. I wanted to see if he could help me lift the battery cover a bit to double check. I don't think he knew. I don't couldn't get it open myself. I am not a diesel mechanic but I do have my fair share of experience with fixing and checking things on n my own.

I checked into a hotel last night but I am back in the truck right now and I no longer smell rotten eggs. Is the truck okay? I am getting routed back to IL to get it check out by the shop.

Bit tmi at the end there.....but yea the truck will likely be fine for a few days. The gas just means at least one battery is leaking. That said id be cautious about sleeping in the rig unless it has a battery door you can open amd/or unless you keep the windows down. The gas you smell is pretty toxic at high concentrations and is not something you want to be huffing.

Worst case is you wont be able to start the truck.
