Lol! I'm getting there!! I've cut my loading time down to 2 hours! It's definitely getting easier. I keep forgetting to flip my flippers when I need to so running around the truck is costing me time..but I'm determined to figure it out. I'll keep posting pics so y'all can give me pointers.

 

I usually slide # 3 backwards with the flippers on top of the #4 decks flippers so it can flip the flippers for me and the deck usually ends up in the perfect spot

 

Nice!! Good tip! That'll save me from walking back and forth!

 

Similar to Kawinige01 I slide and raise my #3 rear flippers under #4 to flip #4 front flippers closed. When loading I barely back #3 on the front flippers which are left open. I close all flippers but the front of #3 when loading the trailer. I have learned the hard way when closing flippers that more noise is better than attempting to slow their fall. The times I tried to control their fall I either smashed a finger or pulled a muscle since I close them all from the ground. If I am near a residential area unloading early I will do my best to be quiet. I also painted cheat cheat markers on the inside of the drivers side decks that I can see when operating the controls. This helps me with setting the rig up to load and unload without having to walk from the trailer to the tractor to get it perfect. Then when I am empty the only decks I move are my front trailer deck backwards and the back bottom trailer deck forward. The less things I have to move the less likely I am to screw something up.

 

Good tips! Yeah I've given up on being quiet. I have learned to cover my ears! The ringing from the flippers slamming can't be good for the ear drums!

 

I do the same thing. I have every deck marked on both sides. So i can pin them off. I load with the decks pinned.. i noticed they bounce less when pinned.. i have a system. It works for me. Less F@@k ups

 

Yeah and the deck pins. Especially if they're all the way up. #### ears will be ringing the entire time your unloading
