I've been a professional truck driver for over a decade now. I've done it all. Company driver, lease owner operator and now i run under my own authority for 4 years with no problem . I run when I get paid to run. I never touched a load that paid less than $3 a mile. I do seat a lot but I know what I deserve as a truck driver/ owner operator. I live in the cheapest state in the country when it come to load pay Florida. I don't book load by DAT 30 days average pay That's a scam . If a broker call me on a load I name my own price. If they don't want to pay my price I tell them thank you and i hang up the phone. Later they call back my price will go up because that's how they like to play the game. I WANT TO PPOINT THAT TO ALL GOOD PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVERS OUT THERE. THE BROKER DON'T SET YOUR RATE. YOU SET YOUR OWN RATE. How would you let someone telling you how much you're getting pay for your work. They call me all the time asking me how much I would charge for certain lane. Last and last for the good professional drivers. STOP USING DISPATCH SERVICES. THESE PEOPLE DON'T HAVE A CLUE ON WHAT'S GOING OUT THERE WHEN IT COMES TO DRIVE A TRUCK.

I've been a professional truck driver for over a decade. I've done it all company driver, lease owner operator. I've been running under my authority for four years now with no problem. I run when I get paid to run. I don't touch nothing under $3 a mile. I do seat a lot but I don't run my truck for cheap load. I didn't become a owner operator to drive 2500 to 3000 miles a week. I can run two load or three load a week and make my $10000 a week which I make with no sweat whenever I go out . A lot of driver out there who call themselves truck drivers really don't know the meaning of a good truck driver. Been a truck driver mean have better opportunity and a better life. They said 85 % of the population work for minimum wage but not when you're a truck driver. I am not trying to hurt anybody's feelings I just want to make a point. I live in Florida as we all know Florida is the cheapest state when it come truck . The only reason Florida so cheap is because too many drivers who don't what they're doing. No matter how much the broker to pay you as a driver to run a load . They still charge the shipper what they usually charge them if not more. This is for the good professional drivers. STOP USING DISPATCH SERVICES. DON'T LET SOMEONE ELSE NEGOTIATE YOUR PRICE WHO DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO DRIVE A TRUCK OR TARP A LOAD. ONLY US AD TRUCK CAN CHANGE HOW WE SHOULD BE TREAT. NO ONE ELSE. RESPECT TO ALL GOOD PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVERS OUT THERE.

$10k a week, no problem, based in Florida huh? You should try legal work sometimes. Doesn't quite pay that much but still pretty good and I don't have to retire in prison.

There is a simple solution to brokered freight and the rates they set. The solution is you set your own rate for what you will pull a load for. If you don’t get that rate DONT PULL THE LOAD.

Supply, demand, and other factors set the market price in a free market. The good thing about brokers is, if you don't need them, then dont use them.
