If you're a big coffee drinker. Forget about it.

BIG = 2 pots or more a day.

Guarana seeds (from Amazon jungle). It can be found at some health food stores (not the real seeds but a processed form of it). It's really very strong. I don't take it cause it can give me tachycardia. But it works very well for other people. There's also ginseng root.... I drink cold water, don't drink coffee but "erva mate" instead. It's from Brasil and it has caffeine. I also found that tangerine (the fruit) wakes me up. So, if I am falling asleep, I peel one off and eat it. I listen to radio, sing along and talk loud... Spray cold water on my face, back of my neck... Turn the light on inside the cab for a little while. Walking around the truck is also very good but I never do it (don't like to stop)... I like to listen to "Coast to Coast" in the wee hrs of the night.... Anyway... At the end, the best thing is to stop and take a good nap. :yes2557:

I drink Diet Coke. I also start the day with breakfast and snack thru the day. I pull a reefer and the company wants me to check the temp every 3 hours. Since they can read the temp off the Qaulcomm I imagine this is to get us out of the truck every so often. Also I try to get a decent amount of sleep, which for me is at least 6 hours. Like everyone else sometimes I'm wore out after 300 miles. There are also times when I feel good enough to go beyond my 11.

They do nothing for me. Might as well throw my money away. Thermos full of coffee once per day sets me right, never costs more than $2 either. Few times I've gotten it free, this morning actually, cashier said no charge you bought fuel here.

have to agree those energy drinks just a scam. but i drink sundrop all day/night so its almost impossiable for anything else to have effect on me. if you dont drink them, then can promise you, will be wired for hrs. give one to a gaurd at the end of his shift before he was gonna work a double one night. later he told me couldnt even sleep when he got home lmao. but the sundrop here in TN is way stronger than in other places.

Caffeine is a diuretic, it makes you urinate more often than normal. Water is best, you won't become dehydrated from drinking water:biggrin_25523:

I think you mean "Yerba Mate" not "erva mate" It's from Argentina & works for me when I can't score an 8 ball.
