Volvo factory installed inverter.

    I believe it's 1800 watts. Is it okay to run lets say a air fryer that's 1,700 watts?

    That's probably pushing it.....it will depend on the quality of the inverter, wiring and if its a pure sine wave or not. It might work if it's the only thing plugged into and drawing off the invertor but my bet is it will cut out before your fries are done.

    And I'd be no end of pissed off.

    I figured it was too small. They have some 3500w in the shop. I might see if they can hook me up.

    Did you try it at least? You probably won't kill anything, your inverter will just beep and/or shut down. Try turning down the air fryer and cooking for longer, and cook with the truck idling to keep the power stream constant.
