If you've NEVER received any kind of monetary compensation from a company... Then they can't put on your DAC that you quit, got fired or any other thing,BECAUSE you never worked for them!

All that being said they will still try!

I went to GTS out Grand Rapids, Mi. when I first started driving... On the Second day I decided the company wasn't for me and went home!

I found out that they put it on my DAC report!
So, I called and informed them they had two weeks to clear my DAC or my attorney was going to file fraud charges against them... Sure enough it was cleared up!
They sent me a basket of sausage and an apology that said we are sorry this happened it was the first and last time it would happen, Yeah right!

Bottom line is that you have to clear this stuff up your self! And, Never expect a company to do the right thing as right is not in their vocabulary!

I reckon a logical question might be, WhY would they DO that?

Or, is there a computer entry that they use that's all inclusive, and automatically
    dings a DAC?

Yeah, this whole thing has been confusing because I have never had a wreck or ticket in a four wheeler. Also, I have never really been employed or driven for a trucking company. So, when I got the letter saying I was declined because of a DAC report it threw me. I’m hoping it is just simply Crete sending out a generic denial letter similar to Head Out's and my DAC is clear. If it is not and Swift did something to it I will be fighting it like crazy to get it cleared. Once I get my DAC in I will post what I find on it.

That's what I'm thinkin', too, KM. Some secretary is instructed to punch a certain key if a potential employee decides not to hire on, and a computer automatically spits out negative information to DAC.

I sure can't think of a good reason to ding ANYone for NOT accepting employment, especially if an applicant has been up front with the company.
That just don't make no sense.
That's what I'd do if I were you.
And I hope you will keep us posted.
Many of us are interested in what you find out, and hope the best for you.

    OH!
BTW --- WELCOME to the forums.
    We don't ding DAC's here. :biggrin_25512: :biggrin_25525:

Did you know that USIS pays for entries? Yep. Read that on their website a few years ago, can't find it anymore 'cause it is sort of an outrage. I don't know that they cut checks, but it is used as a credit against drawing information. So, maybe the incentive isn't personal ruin, but financial in nature.

    Hmmmmmm
    I did not know that.
But, if that's true, it would make sense.

I reckon I should follow my own advice,.....

Thanks everyone and thanks for the welcome AfterShock. Well, my DAC did not get in today. It is driving me nuts not knowing exactly what is going on.

Since there have been a few other people who have had the same type of letter I really think it was just a poorly written generic denial letter.

I hope all is clear on the DAC and I can start moving forward with trucking school. I am pretty positive I can get free CDL training here through a grant so that is going to be nice. I’m trying to start school late January so the time I finish school and out with a trainer winter will be over with before I get my own truck. It would be nice learning the winter with a trainer but I figured it would be much easier if the winter was over with when I am trying to get accustomed to being on my own.
