Wikipedia.org Reported Deaths of Wrestlers Family 13 hours before Police Found Bodies

An anonymous user operating a computer traced to Stamford, Conn. — home to World Wrestling Entertainment — posted an entry to pro wrestler Chris Benoit's biography on Wikipedia.org announcing the death of his wife Nancy at least 13 hours before police in suburban Atlanta said they found her body along with her husband's and that of their 7-year-old son, FOXNews.com has learned.

Employees at Wikipedia.org said the posting went live on their site on Monday at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Police, however, said they found the bodies Monday at 2:30 p.m. EDT.

This is going to cause conspiracy theories. Maybe rightly so.

 

It's kind of confussing. I really haven't figured out all of it either. The posting on wikipedia was made from a computer in Conn., and also from Australia an hour apart. But people were recieving phone messages from the wrestler before the incident occured. I think that's how it's playing out.

There's a lot of unknowns about this. I'm sure the investigators are working to figure out who reported the deaths on wikipedia. Was it possible that the guy himself was able to get to Conn. and create the posting and then return. Is there a time lapse in the deaths? How much longer was the child and wife dead before the wrestler? Was it possible that the wrestler killed his family and then sent a message to some fan/fans about his family death and asked them to post it on the internet.

I know this is going to cause a lot of conspiracy theories, wrestlers have a fanatic fan base. But I also beleive there a number of legitimate explanations that can explain the postings.

 

Looks like the guy that posted on Wikipedia about the the wife being dead has come forward. He says it was a joke and he had no clue about the incident.
