Thanks . Probably wont be cheap, with that Cat rebuild.
I was wondering about reliability. I don't want it in a shop , even under warranty. If the wheels ain't turning, I ain't earning.

I have a CAT C-15 6nz. It blew a head gasket at 448k miles. Fixed under warranty. Haven't had any real trouble since. Had to replace an oxygen sensor and a bad wire on the jake. Don't remember anything else . 1.1 million miles. Runs great.

Is a 7cz a C-16 ? As long as it isn't a bridge motor or a an acert, it should be good. Mine has been real dependable. And can average 6.5 mpg if driven about 60-63 mph and keeping idle low.

Btw , the head gasket thing was a defect. I got a new head and 2 cylinder kits . I could have had the other 4 cylinder kits changed for $1700. But I wasn't gonna keep the truck . If I had that to do over........
