Antenna recommendations

I wouldnt waste my $ on one..Seen them on trucks before and how they wobble..If its to get you outta a bind for a day or so maybe but then i would use it as a tooth pick..
Cant buy a predator 10k at a trk stop but lots use them..As i said skip shooter has a list of retailers and if not they can be mailed anywhere..

 

Come onnn .....No ss aint in trk stop but there are mail services that can del them any where BY truck and shops that do sell them...Ss site has a list up....

When was the last time trk stops have anything thats decient,i dont see any big coiled ant or 102" but drivers get them...
I love how they were at one time listed as pre tuned..ppffffttttt..

Its the op's time and money his choice on what he buys so its in his hands...I would assume he will not die in a few days or a week or more if he dont have a radio to tx on rite now...If worse came.to worse and he wanted rite now,a tuneable tipped firestock would be a better choice than a francis AND they are in trk stops..

No real difference. A Firestick is supposed to be better than a Francis for whatever reason. Maybe that it's a 5/8 wave and supposed to have a lower angle of radiation? Not enough to notice..

 

I never owned a lada and yeap they will get up past the legal speeds but wouldnt own one..
If you think a francis that claims its pretuned blah blah bs is as good as a fire stick or a 102 then you know less than me and i dont know squat compared to most here..

To one of your points about a comparision,no i have never done side by side...
I have never had the same option of a trk on the tx and rec sode to be able to make such a comparison..
My radio has changed and goin from volvos to freightliner,to many options have change to make a fair comparision...
I still have lots to learn and by the time i either retire or have a foot in the grave i might know enough but for now my best results outta a 27" shafted 10k,7ft skip shooter and a 102 on basically the same trk has been from best to worst were the 102 on a 10" shaft,7 ft skip shooter and a 10k..I cant say the 102 is better than the skip shooter range wise but seems to be able to do more freq without retuning...
