One of the CDL practice test questions I read mentions using bubblegum as a quick fix for a leaky seal in a gladhand. Could this be true? That's a lot of Bubblicious! What are some other tips for fixing a leaky air hose on the road?
If one of the glad hands on your blue air line is missing a seal, . . .
a. common bubble gum will work until you can find a new seal.
b. you could end up with a service line air leak. (answer)
c. you could end up with an emergency line air leak.
d. you would not know until you set your parking brake.
Can we use bubblegum to fix a gladhand seal leak?

Hell when I worked for CFI I had glad hand seals, and 2 of every light I'd had on a trailer to that point that I carried in a milk carton. I remember 1 drop yard encouraging us to remove the lights when we dropped so we'd have lights for the trailer we got back.

Glad hand seal are the cheapest, easiest to change and arguably most often changed part(especially d/h operational) on a truck.
