Is there any company driver in here that could give me an opinion about whether or not to go through the school and if your just a company driver do ya get crappy equipment and or loads? THanks
-
It is a joke.... Driver Code, do you want a recap y/n
thats is! about as useless as the mac6... -
Klingon, We got those smaller prostars a while ago, nobody wanted them and they gave most of them to company drivers. We got them because Coors raised our contract to 50k lbs, then they retracted it back to 48k allowing all the other trucks to be used on Coors. We are not getting any Prostars anymore. This next round of trucks are going to be FTL Cascadias (new company trucks...can be leased and will have a premium package) and Coronados (only 20 of them and they will only go to drivers with 5 or more years with Central), and Pete 386s and 389s (both lease only). All the Volvo's, 387s, and most of the T2000s and W900s will be gone by the end of the year.
Also, the mac 6 is not useless. It is your time of availability. The planner's use that to put loads on your truck. If you don't update the mac 6 you will not be preset and/or you will have to wait longer for loads. In general, you won't be able to run as many miles because you won't have the benefit of the planners looking ahead for loads.
The mac 3 gives you a recap now so you know what hours you've used and have coming back. -

I may have some facts wrong but thats what I've observed.Last edited: Mar 16, 2011

They changed and combined mac 3 and 9 because too many weren't doing the 9.
And, I mentioned the ones for the stupid coors driver, they are $40 less a week than ours and weighs only 1500 less than ours. They are ridiculous.
And as a large gripe, I think we are approaching the point of quitting. We have been charged for someone else's accident on our pay and just keep getting pushed off to someone else. Our truck is still not right, and if we get it fixed then we end up costing so much it is unreal just to be down. I have reached my breaking point -

Lady K Thanks this.

Finally got home yesterday. Yay!! I was all out of most of my prescriptions...not good. Glad to hear so many have upgraded. Congrats to you all! By the way, I tried to ensure I would have a trailer when I came back from home time by using the king pin lock and putting the padlock on the door...did not work. It did get my hiney chewed out a little around the edges, though. Not a good idea...

You have to do a 3, 6, 9, every day. you put the same information that is required in the 6 in the 3 (or at least you did now it is in the 9). Why cant that information be populated when you put it in the now mac9?
