Ok so final update I guess. When we removed the valve cover. We realized that the head had been changed sometime in the past before I bought the truck. But everything we touched was loose. Hence the injectors were loose. They were moving up and down in the head, although the movement was small it was enough to loose fuel pressure and compression from the cylinders. I went ahead and changed all six injectors. Saw some minor marks on the head where the injectors sit but nothing grave. We feel confident the new injector cups, the one that goes on the tip of the injector and is made out of copper, will seal fine now that we torqued everything down to spec. Test drove the crap out of the truck and it’s fine. Hopefully it last long enough to work the truck and make back the money I’ve spent before I have to worry about changing the head. Aging no gouging or scratching happened to the head from what we could see but there was some small marks or change in bare metal color.
