I've been using BR for about four years now. I love that I can just keep everything on the phone, and not worry about any errors or mistakes. Plus, I can edit on my laptop so at night I can fill in the blanks on fuel stops, safety checks, PT's, etc. I also keep all my logs on Google drive, so I can pull up logs all the way back to 2015 if I want to.

Right now my job is ELD-exempt, so I know nothing about the ELD pods or how they work. I do know that BR changed their interface last week and now it doesn't seem to work as well as it used to. I assume the changes were made for the ELD pod, so I wish they would let me still use the old format.

BTW my Garmin GPS is set up for ELD too, but obviously I have never much messed with it. I am thinking about doing some IC stuff so I need to learn more.

We had the Dezl 770, but it needed additional items and services from another company in order to do the ELD portion. We were unable to coordinate with them for over 3 weeks to get that part in...despite the fact that the component was supposed to be in the next day.

I had a chat session with Rand McNally and they said the OverDryve 8 would not work with the OBD 2.

Very disappointed in both companies. If you find one that works, let me know.

I have the newer Garmin with the cam built in. IIRC, they sent me an email about how to set it up for ELD with the pod thingie. I'll probably use that instead of BR, since it would make for one less piece of equipment on my dash.

The RM not working doesn't surprise me. I tried that one before I bought the Garmin and returned it less than a week later. It couldn't even stay on is magnetic mount when I hit a bump.

Stay away from ATS TOTAL ELD, PT30. Nothing but problems, freezes and will not l ed t you go off duty fup to 15 minutes after you have parked and turned off the truck. And miss readers odometers mileage by 12-15%, if you try to correct the mileage it will ad both, doubling the error to 25-30%. Dose not keep track of personal milage only lumps all to gather as hauling miles, and no way to add or check fuel stops later.
